Carterista retired from a very successful racing career at the age of ten.  His owner retired him to the TRF and he was the first inductee at the Lowell Correctional Farm in Ocala, FL.  He is currently used in a rehabilitation program at the Marion Correctional Facility in Ocala, Florida.  He spends his retirement days relaxing in the sun and grazing with his pals.
