and Challenges
While the TRF can point with great pride to its many
accomplishments over the years, the realization of
its ultimate goal - saving all Thoroughbred
racehorses from needless suffering and slaughter -
is not yet in sight.
To make real its vision, the TRF must capture the
momentum gained in recent years and continue to
grow, expand, and extend its programs. At the
same time, we must firmly establish the operating
resources needed to ensure a long-term continuity of
care for our population of retired horses.
If we are to turn these challenges into
opportunities, your support is vitally needed.
The Power of Two Campaign
To achieve our goals - both short and long-term -
the TRF has launched a comprehensive, five-year
campaign to raise badly needed revenues for horse
rescue and care, expansion, endowment and other
important funding purposes.
This ambitious, but achievable campaign draws upon
the unique relationship between man and horse.
And it is this timeless dynamic, this
difference-making union, this Power of Two,
from which the campaign takes its name and
direction.
When individuals, corporations, industry
representatives and foundations rally together with
the Thoroughbred, the resultant Power of Two
will pave the way toward our ultimate goal of saving
all racehorses in need.
