Gumbo for the Horses – a TRF Benefit Event
Featuring the famous, authentic Cajun gumbo of Eric and Chip Guillot!
July 30, 2019 @ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Racing City Brewing Co.
250 Excelsior Ave, Saratoga Springs NY
Hosted by the In the Money Players Podcast
About the Event:
Eric Guillot is a famous (or some may say infamous) figure on the Saratoga racetrack. His Cajun charm, joie de vivre and irreverence are his calling cards. His lifelong career with horses and 40 years of experience as a Thoroughbred trainer have garnered him countless accolades, but just wait until he starts talking about food. When it comes to gumbo, the gloves come off – Eric is in his glory. For decades Eric and his brother, Chip Guillot, have shared their gift of gumbo with the community of the Saratoga backstretch. The reputation of the flavor and the fun that the Guillot brothers deliver is legendary.
This summer, Eric and Chip have offered to share their culinary magic with the Saratoga race fans and handicappers who come to town in July and to do so as a benefit for the horses of the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation.
A $20 ticket includes bottomless gumbo, a beverage of choice (beer, wine or soda) and a great evening of festive spirit – all for a very good cause. Gumbo for the horses! Our host, Peter Thomas Fornatale of the In the Money Players Podcast, will be our MC for the evening – introducing special guests and rallying support for a 50/50 raffle for the TRF horses. TRF merchandise will be available and donations for the horses are always welcome.
Hope to see you there!
